Joseph B Stephens

Joseph B. and Dorothy Stephens moved to Colby in 1959. Joe started building and remodeling homes, founded Stephens Construction in 1969 and incorporated as Stephens Construction, Inc. May 18, 1972. Chris, Curt and Gary worked in the family business many years before starting different careers. Chris and Gary currently operate Stephens Brothers Construction Company in Manhattan Kansas. Curt worked for Paine Webber in Wichita Kansas after graduating from Wichita State University. Curt & Jackie Stephens moved from Wichita to Colby in 1991. Curt took over the management of Stephens Construction, Inc. after Joe's death in 1991.
